I grew up in Marquette, Michigan and went to medical school at Wayne State University. I chose the University of Arizona because of the faculty and residents’ overall attitude towards life and work. They provide a team atmosphere that makes you feel like you are working amongst friends. The constant sunshine is great plus too. My husband is an emergency medicine resident here at the University of Arizona and we have a 2_ year old son and another baby on the way. Since both my husband and I are residents, we value our time together as a family. We enjoy hiking at Sabino Canyon and Mt. Lemmon, and we also like to spend weekends off with our son at the Reid Park Zoo or the Tucson Children’s Museum. Tucson has a lot to offer families with kids of all ages. I plan on going into general practice after residency.
