The mission of the Pediatric Endocrinology Fellowship at the University of Arizona is to educate and prepare pediatricians for independent practice in pediatric endocrinology. Graduates of the fellowship will obtain extensive clinical training to competently treat children with diabetes, glandular disorders, hormonal imbalances, and growth disorders. An emphasis is placed on fostering the ability to form and maintain effective physician-patient relationships and work as a member of a multidisciplinary team to provide excellent patient care.
Scholarly research is an integral part to the fellow’s experience and introduced within the first year of training. The fellow’s level of research involvement is expected to lead to an abstract presentation and authorship of a manuscript.
How to Apply
The three-year fellowship seeks physicians who will have completed two to three years of training in an accredited residency program in order to sit for the American Board of Pediatrics certifying examination.
