What are your personal interests/hobbies?

I love golfing, yelling at my TV while watching baseball/basketball/football, spending time with my wonderful wife and our bunny, and eating at new restaurants. I also enjoy hiking and I have a little succulent garden that I am super proud of!

Why did you choose UA Peds?

I chose UA peds because it had the perfect blend of people and location. When I met the residents and faculty on the interview trail, I could immediately sense the camaraderie on the team. They were funny, friendly, and focused on caring for the pediatric population. Aside from the wonderful people at the program, I was drawn to Tucson’s great climate, mountains, and beautiful desert which is surprisingly lush (especially compared to the Las Vegas desert) which make for amazing hikes.

What is your favorite thing about Tucson?

I would be remiss if I didn’t give a shout out to all of the wonderful restaurants/food options in Tucson. I have a special place in my heart for Mexican cuisine and since moving to Tucson I have not been disappointed!

What are your non-medical goals during residency?

My wife and I plan on starting a family during residency! Owning a home and having kids have always been at the top of the list for me, and if everything goes according to plan, we will accomplish both of those within the next couple of years.

If you could have a superpower- what would it be?

Teleportation would be awesome! Don’t feel like sitting in traffic? BOOP! Now you’re at your destination. Want to eat at the same place Guy Fieri was just at on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives? No problem. Always dreamed about traveling to Europe but dread the long flight and expensive plane ticket? No worries, teleportation is the answer!
