2021 Kids of Steele Race for Research Event

June 10, 2021

TUCSON, Ariz. –  Kids of Steele, the family auxiliary of the University of Arizona Steele Children’s Research Center, 2021 RUBBER DUCK RACE FOR RESEARCH

On November 7th, watch the great raft of numbered KOS racing ducks swim through obstacles and waterfalls to make their way to the finish line. Lucky ducks will win prizes for 1st – 3rd place finish, dead last, and even some random “pluck prizes” at the end.

Kids of Steele is comprised of local families who want to teach their children about service and kindness, while raising awareness and funds for the UArizona Steele Children's Research Center. Funds raised from the event will be used for “greatest-need” projects at the UA Steele Children's Research Center and Kids of Steele service projects, such as providing breakfast and afternoon snacks to outpatients at the Angel Wing for Children with Diabetes and the pediatric hematology-oncology clinics at Banner – University Medical Center Tucson.

KOS Rubber Ducks will race live down the JW Marriott Starr Pass Lazy River while our supporters attend virtually to cheer on their ducks safely from home. Funds raised from this annual event will be used for “greatest-need” projects at the UArizona Steele Children’s Research Center.
