I grew up and went to school in Oakdale, Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota. I was attracted to the University of Arizona residency program by the good variety of patients, friendly people, and dedicated teaching day every week. The entire faculty is approachable and great to work with, as are my fellow residents. There is a great mix of bread-and-butter peds and very specialized kids too. I feel I am getting a well-rounded experience here at the University of Arizona. When I am not working, I like to hang out with my fellow residents. I enjoy hiking, biking, watching sports and spending time with my fiancé. I am still somewhat undecided which direction I will take in after residency, but it will be either in general pediatrics, hem/onc, or PICU.
