Biography:

Where are you from?

Initially, Germany (but I have been in Tucson most of my life)

What are your personal interests/hobbies?

I love to get outside, hiking always feels so rewarding and worth the challenge. I also love to spend time with my hilarious 9-year-old son, we enjoy riding our bikes along the Rillito path. If I am feeling organized I may pack a to go dinner for a sunset picnic in the park (we also don't mind being lazy and watching TV on the couch). If I have free time on my hands I love to have dinner with friends and try out a new restaurant.

What are your professional interests?

My professional interests span the breath of medical education, though I have particularly enjoyed curriculum development and process improvement. I like to take a collaborative approach to my work especially when it comes to tackling the challenges encountered in healthcare, medical education, and academics in conjunction with the Pediatric Education Leadership team.

Why did you choose UA Peds?

The people.
The friendships and relationships with my co-workers and trainees are one of the main reasons why I not only chose, but also have remained with the department of Pediatrics.
I also completed my undergrad and graduate education at the UA, so I feel strongly about the quality of the education offered, and the integrity of the institution.

What is your favorite thing about Tucson?

the sunsets, the mountains, the wildlife, the people, the fact that I rarely have to parallel park anywhere in town.

If you could have a superpower- what would it be?

easy: I would share a mental connection with a large bird of prey.
